Football x Fashion

At a time when fashionistas are unabashedly wearing football shirts in the street, when footballers are walking the catwalks and major clubs are teaming up with renowned designers, fashion and football are now more inextricably linked than ever before.

Football has been flirting with fashion for the past decade or so. These repeated forays into one another’s territories really took off in 2017-2018 with the 2018 World Cup.

Vintage shirts from the ’90s have since made a comeback. The football shirt is no longer reserved for match nights only. It has become a veritable fashion statement.

In many of his creations, artist Ahilan Ratnamohan, a former footballer and theatre actor, is interested in the choreographic potential of football moves and truly reveres the shirt and its symbolism.

Although fashion is not necessarily at the heart of his projects, it always plays a key role (like Klapping or Le Maillot – One Size Fits All, on which we collaborated.)

For his new creation, he would like to go one step further and collaborate with stylists, sewing workshops and people who are quite simply passionate about fashion and sewing, while allowing footballers to strut their stuff around the new playground and sports area at the foot of Les Brigittines. See the open call!

The choreographed fashion show will take place on October 5, 2024 in Les Marolles.

Community meetings

To ensure the project’s success, we ask you to immerse yourself as fully as possible in the world of soccer. Don’t hesitate to meet players and attend training sessions.

3 to 4 community meetings will be organized throughout the project development process to enable you to discover and exchange with stylists and footballers and, in so doing, immerse yourself in their world.
