Rope is a rope. It is 60m long and 28cm thick. Because Rope is too big, it has lost its function as a rope.<\/p>\n

Ief Spincemaille travels with Rope to local communities, organisations and towns. He tries to connect it to people and things. Although Rope remains an impenetrable and elusive part of reality, its very presence allows us to see the world differently. It disrupts existing connections and creates a space of freedom where what exists can be shaped in new directions.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Before performing at the Place du Jeu de Balle, Rope took to the streets of Les Marolles. It went to Porte de Hal, surrounding its fountain, and then to the Charles Gheude Institute and the Baron Steens Primary School, somewhat confusing its students and teachers. Rope even entered the home of a resident in the rue de Nancy. It travelled around the front doors of Les Marolles before deciding to call it home.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

About the artist<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Ief Spincemaille<\/span><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is an artist at the crossroads of various disciplines: visual art, design, performance, etc. He lives in Leuven, but his work takes him all over the world. In his practice, he combines wonder and poetry with a strong social and political commitment. He plays with existing frameworks and shapes, not just for the sake of playing but because he needs to produce new forms that better suit his imagination. He tries to bridge the gap between art and life.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
